Interview mit Stefano Mazzocchi

In der BZ vom 4. März ist das Interview mit Stefano Mazzocchi erschienen, das ich an der Opensource-Konferenz Lots mit ihm geführt habe. Stefano Mazzocchi ist Wissenschafter am MIT und einer der Hauptautoren des Apache Cocoon Frameworks. Im Interview erklärt er, weshalb Opensource-Software gut für die Wirtschaft sei und wie das Internet weiterentwickelt werden soll.

    Dear Mr. Stefano Mazzocchi,

    I wanted to try that linotype under „apache cocoon “, but it does not function!
    They provided different „pattern “, which must function under „apache cocoon “. Like for example:
    „http://localhost:8080/cocoon/samples/blocks/linotype/news[*].*.xml“ .

    Mostly of „pattern“ do not function like for example:
    if I these enter:
    „http://localhost:8080/cocoon/samples/blocks/linotype/news/*.xml“
    I get this error message:

    java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\apache-tomcat-5.5.23\webapps\cocoon\samples\blocks\linotype\repository\news\*\document.xml (Die Syntax für den Dateinamen, Verzeichnisnamen oder die Datenträgerbezeichnung ist falsch).

    can you perhaps explain to me, how the linotype functions?
    Or do you know me the documentation over linotype provide to send?
